General
Mariano Gualaupe VALLEJO, the founder of Sonoma California married Francisca
Maria Felipa Benicia CARRILLO on 6 March 1832 at the San Diego Presidio.1
I mentioned in Blog 8 that Maria Jesus Castro BELTRAN’s grandmother was a
Carrillo and provided Jesus BELTRAN mother’s tree which I repeat in figure
12.1. Figure 12.2 shows Benicia Carrillo’s father’s tree and one notices that
Jesus and Benicia have a common grandparent, Joaquin Victor Carrillo and
Magdalena Marron. For Jesus, Joaquin and Magdalena are her greatgrandparents
and for Benicia, Joaquin and Magdalena are her grandparents which means Benicia
is Jesus’s first cousins once removed. It also means that Ramon Castro and
Jesus Beltran’s children are also related to Benicia as first cousins twice
removed.
Mariano
Gualaupe VALLEJO fathered 20 children. However, only 16 were by Benicia
Carrillo. The other four children were from four different women.1
So Jesus Beltran is related to 16 of Vallejo’s children as a second cousin.

figura 12.2 muestra el árbol del padre de Benicia Carrillo y uno nota que Jesús
y Benicia tienen un abuelo común, Joaquin Victor Carrillo y Magdalena Marron. Para
Jesús, Joaquín y Magdalena son sus bisabuelas y para Benicia, Joaquín y
Magdalena son sus abuelos que significa Benicia es prima una vez retirados de
Jesús. También significa que los hijos de Ramon Castro y Jesús Beltran también
se relacionan con Benicia como primos dos veces quitados.

Gualaupe VALLEJO engendró a 20 niños. Sin embargo, sólo 16 eran de Benicia
Carrillo. Los otros cuatro niños eran de cuatro mujeres diferentes1.
Por tanto Jesús Beltran se relaciona con 16 de los hijos de Vallejo como un
primo segundo.
